The Wasco County Soil and Water Conservation District is pleased to co-sponsor OSU Extension's Annual Crop Tour. This year tour stops include reveiwing the OSU Wheat Variety Trials, irrigation effeciency technology, soil fertility, and wildfire management.

TIME: Meet at 7:45 am, depart at 08:00 am (Meet at Auction Yard off Hwy 197)

Integrated Beneficial Insect Habitat
Wasco Co. SWCD and the Underwood Conservation District in partnership with OSU Extension, USDA, and the IPPC are offering a Field Day for the Integrated Beneficial Insect Pest Management program. This Field Day is a follow up to the workshop conducted in February 2017.

The Field Day will consist of visiting three farms in Lyle, Mosier, and The Dalles and gain first hand experience in basic identification skills for beneficial insects. Presenters will guide participants through practical exercises that include insect identification, habitat needs, and plant selection.

The workshop is free and the first 25 participants to RSVP will be provided lunch. Registration deadline is May 12, 2017.
