2025 SWCD Calendar Photo Contest!
We are looking for photos to be included in the Wasco SWCD 2025 calendar!
Entries Are Due by November 1, 2024.
Photos must be agriculture or conservation related. There are three categories: Under 18 years old, Amateur Adult, and Professional Adult. The top four photos from each category will be selected by SWCD staff for the calendar, and then the public will vote on their favorite photo to be on the cover of the calendar! Each of the 12 winning entries will receive a copy of the calendar, and the winner of the public vote will receive a calendar and a SWCD swag bag!
Wasco SWCD staff will select the twelve finalists and open public voting on our website from November 15-29. The cover photo winner will be announced December 2, 2024.
Photos can be submitted using the form below, and they need to be either a jpeg or png format. Higher resolution is recommended but not required. You can enter as many photos as you like, but each photo must be entered with a separate entry form. Each participant can only place a maximum of two times. For example, if you submit four photos in one category, a maximum of two of those photos may be selected for the calendar. Participants are not required to be a resident of Wasco County, but the photos must be taken within Wasco County. Digital enhancement of the color in photos is allowed, however use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will result in disqualification. Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible. Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content as determined by the Wasco SWCD in its sole discretion, are ineligible for all categories of this contest. Wasco SWCD reserves the right to disqualify photos for any reason.
For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must be prepared to provide a model release from the subject or, in case of a minor, the subject's parent or guardian, to the Wasco SWCD upon request. A sample model release is available here:
